#95183 In this test I'm using GP IO04 for output of tones coupled through a 0.1uf capacitor to a small audio amplifier.

As it sits idle, a continuous cycle of ticks can be heard. A ferrite bead on the audio line reduced the amplitude, but it is still present.

Is this inherent to unshielded microcontrollers? Should I be using a shielded ESP32 maybe instead of the ESP8266-Pro?

There is no wifi in use in this test. Isn't the RF off until envoked?
