I'm starting to build also some ESP8266-01 to ws2801 strips.
I read the thread but lost a little bit the overview about what fits best to my needs?

Best should be ESP as Client connecting to my router with configurations on the ESP via website
I want to send the tpm2net data from Raspberry Pi/Hyperion to the ESP8266, but the RPi is connected via LAN to my Router/Network in 192.168.0.* range. So Client mode is best for the ESP, or?

1. I think I can use the "old" fw from sfranzyshen. This is ESP with AP and IP 192.168.4.1.
I have problems build a build env.
Can someone post a precompiled fw with IP 192.168.0.2 and one with 192.168.0.3

2. Should the Frans-Willem v02 fit my needs with ws2801?

3. What is the best fw/solution at the moment for my needs with ws2801? See above.

I will return results here for the ws2801 tests.

P.s. I will try also to build a build env by this is not so simple for me
