I just bought some dev board AMICA with integrated USB-UART and ESP-12E version.
I am novice and will try to learn using them.

I am thinking about a "simple" circuit to transmit line-in audio through internal webserver as an audio monitor or to another ESP board as a audio transceiver.
I am radioamateur an I trying to make a device to transmit/receive mic/lineout audio from TX-RX to remote station or to monitor live radio through esp internal webserver. (no more than 11Khz/mono. HIFI quality not needed )

I know that ESP can not encode due to compute power, but with an external board like VS1053, can be done ??

- Thu Feb 11, 2016 5:04 am #40896 I am another 'maker' interested in any speech only wifi tx/rx solution, the tx end being the most important.

Mp3 would be fine, but another codec would be acceptable.

Let me know if/when/where I can get hold of one or more of these boards.

One PIR sensor to detect in which room i am currently present and then stream music to the speaker for that particular room.

I can go in any room and raspi will detect and start streaming to that room. This switch will feel awesome.
