The issue here is, that this information is nowhere to be found github's main site (at least I could not find a single link to their help sites).

#17062 If you are using Windows or MacOSX you can also have a look at the wonderfull SourceTree application for making GIT operations like cloning, forking, fetching from upstream, merging, pushing to origin and making pull requests easily. You don't need to remember any commands this way. ;)
