#29955 It can log, but the log is erased on reset.

My router is normally 192.168.2.1 on my internal net. When I AT+CIFSR after connecting ESP to router (which is killing my internet conenction as mentioned) I get:

APIP 192.168.4.1
AMAC same as STAMAC but with different first value
STAIP 192.168.2.5
STAMAC same as AMAC but with different first value

I can then connect with my windows 8.1 machine to the ESP, and ping both of those IPs from cmd. Visiting the IPs in my browser gets a timeout. If I CIPSTART on either IP, I get error, 4, closed.

#30146 Well ... when I have puzzles like these, I try and run experiments to gather new information. Can you borrow an alternate WiFi access point from a friend or colleague? Maybe you have an old one lieing around? What about your cell phone ... can it be a WiFi access point? Some laptops also allow their build in WiFi cards to be access points.

I think this technology might be called "hot spots" but as far as I can tell, that's just the same as an access point.

I'd also continue to pursue the router logs ability. Maybe update the firmware if that is possible?
