This installed with a version of the ESP8266 LPD6803 driver that works, I have 13 *3 Leds in a string around the edge of an infinity mirror running on ESP8266-01, but I get pages of errors when I attempt to import the download from the github, is there any pointers to getting a successful import?

Sorry, I am not familiar with your setup. If you are having problems cloning the repository from github ...
git clone https://github.com/sfranzyshen/esp8266_ ... pd6803.git

then try to download and install from the source archive
https://github.com/sfranzyshen/esp8266_ ... master.zip

if there is a problem with build ... did you use the makefile? it has hard coded locations and you need to edit this file ...

I got home one LED strip LPD6803 tomorrow I'll test

I ordered a strip of lpd6803s today ... be here next week for testing

anyone with ws2801 test things yet? I expect it to work as it is basiclly frans-willem's code ...
