- Sat Feb 07, 2015 4:59 pm #9211 I've updated via the cloud to 9.5 but I wanted to try out the different firmware. When you download the file you have a lot of file folders and I'm not sure how to proceed from there. . I've flashed the firmware once but the file was a *.bin. The *.bin file I understand how to use but not the bunch of folders I got when I downloaded the iot_sdk. I'm imaging I need to compile this thing into a bin folder or I downloaded the wrong thing.

Are there any instructions anywhere on how to get this done?

- Sun Feb 08, 2015 7:45 pm #9288 So to be specific. (would I ) I need to go to https://github.com/nodemcu/nodemcu-firmware and get the firmware (download the zip on right). Then in the folder pre-build go to latest and use esp8266_flash.exe (https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3dUKfq ... gxelE/edit) to flash the nodemcu_latest.bin.

Am I correct? Sorry if this has been covered a bunch of times. Just trying to make sure Im' doing the right thing.
