#1024 What I found is batch to batch they can behave differently so its best to drive them as stated by manufacturer and then your good, any tricks can get you in production!

I have systems driving 1000+ at a time... and have seen the evil that lurks :twisted:

#1034 We also have hardware spi on this chip.
Which seem to be as fast as 80 mhz. I have seen this number somewhere in the IoT example.
Maybe we can use this higher bitrate to modulate the ws2811 protocol.

I have just heard about Boblight. What a nice fantasy to have esp8266 handling all that.

#1040 Correct these are new one's just out about a month now.... have looked at them.... I have 100% success with WS2812's with my Cortex M3 implementation. I do 64 bin FFT + 30fps WS2812 interface and create a very cool light show....
