I connect the pins the same way specified in that post and am using ESP8266Flasher to flash teh firmware to the board. I have even tried switching the Rx and Tx pins going to the eBay FTDI USB-to-serial. Nothing works. I wonder if I ruined the board with an ESD while I was working on the small development board I built for it. The COM port shows up but the ESP8266Flasher does not immediately show as uploading firmware or even show that a connection has been made.
The dev board is a 3.3 V power supply, an IO breakout board section where the ESP-201 plugs in to provide access to the IO's and the power, ground, and Rx and Tx.
Any ideas on how to find out if there is something else I should do to get it working?
