I've just got my hands on an esp8266 and I did some tests using AT commands + external MCU.
My questions are:
- is AT mode enough for certain kind of application or it will be just an eternal pain (especially in parsing responses)?
- if so, are there any best practises out there (I'm sorry I cannot find other posts about that) to maximize the efficiency while minimizing the pain and will the die?
- else, using the SDK natively is the real alternative way to work seriously? If so, what are the best practises? (just guessing, using the rs232 defining my own protocol without the hassle of the AT commands?
I'm sorry if these questions are stupid or if these are extensively replied somewhere else in the forum.
into this thine hall,
I, Lopt, from a journey long,
To ask of the gods
that one should give
Fair mead for a drink to me.
