Please share link of your ESP-01 board. If you are trying to program your ESP8266 shield with Arduino UNO then that's not possible.

Here is my webserver project with ESP-01 board attached to Arduino Uno.
Other people have attached two switches to the ESP-01 to program it, but not using a software UART.
