ESP8266 Community Forum

I have no clue why I cant communicate... with USB-to-TTL adapter ESP modules work fine. both externally powered, with and without 5v-3,3v level conversion.

Did you ever find the solution to this problem, because i am also facing the same thing....I have a pro micro and no mater what i've tried, it just wont connect with the esp. Like you ttl works fine though.
