same problem here.
booting up and connection to the internet works, display works too.
on the client i call the ip of the esp8266 chip and there the webinterface started with Your name, Your Message (Post message).
if i fill in a name and message and click post nothing happen.
in the lualoader debug window (without the display) is: request received GET / nothing else, no message.

But i cant receive messages via the WLAN IP. i press submit but nothing happens.
can I send messages in form from: http://serverip?name=rob&message=hello

You don't need to copy the folder itself. Copy all of it's contents directly onto your ESP, not in a specific subdirectory.
