I always see datalogging projects, where the esp8266 sends data to thingspeak. Is there an solution for controlling my esp from the www without using things like DynDns? Just Thingspeak the other way round.

I don't mean Ip forwarding. I want to use a webservice which sends data to my esp..

what you can do maybe is ask esp to get data from a webservice.
for example, a latest status of your sensors pushed to thingspeak can be pulled in by the esp.
even the latest tweets in your tweeter account can be pulled in to by your esp module.
