I've always read a value above 3000, either in Lua or in Arduino C, unless I have something wired to the ADC.

Thanks for the hint, I still had a potmeter connected to ADC/TOUT for another test.

Output is now as expected around 3300mV. For further reference I add the updated and running sketch below.

Another "issue" bites the dust !
