#15123 I haven't done so much testing of that yet, about to start so can report back.
I want to have a bunch of outdoor remote sensors about the neighbourhood so looking for things that are cheap but don't need batteries changing all the time. I just received in the post one of these solar battery packs so will try that (the price seems to vary a bit and was a couple of pounds cheaper when i order it). Testing its solar cell in the full UK sunshine today at about 1pm the solar cell produced about 3.6 volts and 70 milliamps so should power an ESP8266 ok if its mostly sleeping. I had wondered about putting an ESP-01 inside that solar pack case but there isn't much spare space, i've another slightly different one of those (also from Banggood) which had a lot more empty space.
