#1520 Hello - been completely absorbed by all of the information here. Simply stunned by the integrated nature of this chipset. Hope this community can make it truly hacker friendly!

Before discovering the esp8266 and this forum, I had ordered the Hi-Link HLK-RM30 wifi module: http://www.hlktech.net/product_detail.php?ProId=50

It suspiciously looks like one of the SMT esp8266 modules. I will take one of my samples and remove the shield and take photos.

Cheers, love all the investigative work here!

#1525 Thanks! I will report back with a photo. At first glance the AT commands are vastly different. One commonality is the max, unchangeable baud rate of 115200.

Related, think there's a chance for a faster baud rate? I would imagine the upper bound would be restricted for performance reasons. 115200 == about 14K bytes per second. 230400 would be to have, if possible.
