Now maybe the missing files are really not needed and some code change is required to not refer to them? Don't know.
Maybe 1.0.1 should be extracted on top of 1.0.0?

What distribution sources did you use?
What files are you missing?
I quickly compared
esp_iot_sdk_v1.0.0_15_03_20.zip and esp_iot_sdk_v1.0.1_b2_15_04_10.zip
and didn't saw missing header files.

lib{c,hal}.a are also not in the archive.

AFAIK they are not part of the SDK but part of the compiler you use.

I'm sorry, that I can't help with compiling... but I'm always ready to test Builds.
My usages is for dsleep, DHT22 and BMP180, with EmonCMS. And my goal is to run it on 2xAA battery's.

Right now, I'm testing the Build from @Cal, and it's very stabel. But I can't run my BMP180 script, on low Heap.

Go 4 it... And I'm ready to test
