I also don't see a WIFI if I power it on normally. Faulty modules? Maybe the CP2102? Is there any vendor who sells tested ESPs?
Starting to get crazy with this

The modules that I have bought off ebay have not had any firmware on them at all. But they have all worked for once they were flashed with something.

The wiring and flashing guide I used to begin was from http://benlo.com/esp8266/esp8266QuickStart.html.

- Wed May 27, 2015 10:49 am #18610 Maybe take another picture of your board setup but with a view that we can clearly see your wiring. If you are getting "garbage" on your screen then at least you know that the module isn't dead so we should be able to help. What terminal program are you using and how is it configured?

This is when I try to flash a new FW
Only Rx is flashing
GPIO0 grounded
When I switch Rx-Tx no blue light is flashing so I guess it's correct when it's flashing?!?
