if you see the same output at 74880 as you see at 9600 baud you probably have not been able to set this
strange baud rate and got 9600 baud instead.
Some adapters don't support it out of the box.
I was able to reflash my usb uart adapter to support it. Depends on the chip of the adapter if it supports
that baud rate.
