#2156 Peeled the cover off and discovered a Mediatek chip, and a hand soldered board. Here's a pic. Has anyone made a performance / feature comparison between the two technologies? Seems like the design between the two at the high level is very similar; high integration, off board flash for code bootup.

I don't know about that since on taobao the 7681 modules are pretty comparably priced to the 8266.
