I tried again your code (ok, I changed the SSID and Password)
Using Firefox and the serial monitor of Arduino IDE.
--> Only one "on" or "off"
Same with HTerm.
Same with Smartphone-Browser.

Maybe your ESP is faulty?

In your dropbox-picture, there I can see, that you are using a Arduino.....ATMega328-Board. (lower line of Arduino IDE)
How does this match? There should be a generic ESP8266 Module???

my ESP8266: ESP-01 V2 / ESP-12E (NodeMCU)
ESP8266 Arduino add-on
Arduino IDE 1.6.5

Of course, im uploaded as ESP8266.

Tomorrow i test with another module, i think there is one somewhere.

Maybe there is a difference.
Or some different libs?
My computer:
IDE = 1.65
C:\Users\.....\AppData\Roaming\Arduino15\packages\esp8266\hardware\esp8266\1.6.4-673-g8cd3697

But i think not the arduino ide the problem, because i got this error too, when using nodeMCU lua webserver.

I hope, the module wrong.
