Smart.js is the new open source IoT and cloud platform based on the V7 embedded JavaScript interpreter.
We are still at the early alpha stage, but I think we have the basic essentials for early adopters to play with.
If you like NodeMCU but rather use less esoteric language - check us out.

So I tried following Your demo but could not get this working.

First try was on a version 1 NodeMCU board but with bigger memory.

Flashnchips picked up the com port and flashed device OK. however on bootup I only get the the initial startup garbage coming through on terminal.

So I tried one of the original Node MCU boards - Again flashnchips picked up board and flashed ok. This board booted up and gave me Cloud ID and PSK - Entered these details in the Cesanta Cloud site. Wifi paramaters added to NodeMCU board and I have an IP which i can Ping. Unfortunately no data seems to be coming through on the cloud side.

Any additional troubleshooting advice appreciated.
