Sorry for my misunderstanding, A simple IDE with lua editor and serial console is under development.

No problem, thanks for your reaction.

If you are working on an IDE that means that there is a function in the firmware that allows the uploading of a text file to a lua file on the ESP.

I'm quite happy to use my own editor for editing the lua scripts on my PC, I now just need a way to upload.

Can you please share information on the upload facility in the current firmware with us, or is that a secret?

Thanks for the Welcome :-)

There is nothing really wrong with closed source, especially if you want to make a living with the hard labour you've done.

Zeroday has done the hard labour, wants to make a living with it, BUT has graciously opened his API, and documented it very well. Good show!

I believe we can help him drum up his (HW sale) business by developing (more or less) usable lua scripts that run on his HW/API. He has an opportunity now to set a default environment for the ESP.

In my opinion it is unwise (is that an English word?) to deny us an efficient script upload mechanism to the ESP.

Let's wait and see if he wants to help us to help him.
