- Thu Oct 08, 2015 11:10 pm #30923 For me personally, the width of the NodeMCU board is just fine. It exactly straddles two breadboards that are side by side just perfectly. So as long as one has two breadboards, one is golden.

I posted two (too ?) long answers there, in short for myself I would like to have the capability to remove the power+USB/TTL 'northbridge', or make it replaceable.
