You should use the built in textbox, and button commands in side basic for the interactive bits.

tried loading nodemcu , won't load had to replug power
loaded latest basic ok
cannot load my pgm fail default/6 and later tried several times
!!Noted that you must try to open the name you want to save as before saving else you get default/1~~x
The security stuff is looking ok
Loaded back to Nodemcu

How about putting some kind if FW ID # on boot msg
