That one seems it does 3.3v though? Does it require you to soldier two joins together to bring down the voltage?

Mine has both 3.3v and 5v outputs; however, I have been powering the ESP from the 5v output, using a DC-DC converter (this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121623570949).

#31368 Okay, I got it. WOW This is a big Deal. I've wasted two weeks and multiple hours and dollars trying to figure this out to come to find that the issue was my USB to UART.

I ordered one of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009T2ZR6W

and it worked like a charm for RX and TX only. The VCC peice, I pulled from the product I listed on my opening post. It Nativly supported 3.3v

That is alot of wasted this and this should be documented that if it flunks out during the flash to get a different adapter like the one above.

Anyways thanks for your HELP!!! :)

#31556 I would recommend you use a logic level converter, I'm using sparkfun's . works great..
can handle 4 line but I only us Tx,Rx. Unit has LV side [3.3] and HV side {5].
very small approx size of quarter... I solder HV directly to the USB adapter and run wires from
LV to ESP breadboard..
