#29714 I'm getting crazy...
pulling the reset high now seemed to solve the issue. I think I did that already before, but I guess at that there ther might be different problem.

So now I can upload with nodemcu (however after flashing i get somthing like "could not load init.lua" but that seems to be a different story.).

So thanks flagtrax for pointing to that issue, that forced me to retry it. Next beer is on me

#32654 Haven't been on for a while, sorry for a slow response @ Scudi. The response stating that , Init.lua is actually a "good" thing at this point. Your esp is responding. It can't load init.lua until one is uploaded. Any program can be named init.lua, which gives it the ability to automatically load and run upon power-up or reset. So you can now work with one of many sources to familiarize yourself with the module. The instructable's web site has a few projects, as well as Randomnerd. Being no expert myself, I'm trying to get on board with nodemcu, lua,HTML, CSS, JAVA, and a slew of other things to improve on projects I've worked on. In addition, I don't think the Nodemcu Lua compiler is with out bugs itself, but hopefully it will get better. Since I'm somewhat "working in the dark" myself, it's hard to say if what I try to do at times can be done  . Since documentation is basically scattered all over the WWW, it does get frustrating sometimes trying to get answers, I know that from personal experience. Just keep hangin' on
