There are many other uploading tools too, maybe you should try another one.
My best suggestion is esptool.py, but on Windows, you will have to install python and python-serial.

- Sun Nov 15, 2015 11:19 pm #34147 Thanks martin, I'll work on that, I have seen there is a way to use it on windows. When I saw some of the illustrated outputs from esptool, they looked very similar to the outputs I saw using Electrodragon's flash utility. I was hoping it would be similar enough for a colaborative effort. I know this thing is not totally DOA because it does respond. All the flashers return the MAC address, and begin writing. If trying Nodemcu flasher, it gives little feedback. The only thing you see is under the Log tab, the numerous Write success's then timeout. Cheers. And thanks again.
