Awesome bit of code, I will order a few of these 3 axis gyro's have some cool project ideas for them. Sounds like a great use you guys have designed your solution for. Sad to hear you suffer from falling over reminds me of my granddad he had similar problems. Do you use this function to alert for help based on a fall? This chip is very interesting, looked through the data and seems to have a movement detector algorithm on it, have you played with this?.

Thanks again buddy for all you great contributions to this forum, stay safe :)

PS: Your English is great.

It was J A Acosta that left that particular comment, my native tongue is "Digital Equipment Corporation Octal" but I speak English (&Gaelic) .....I try and leave as much as I can of the original. My hands are also damaged and typing is difficult so "cut & Paste" rules......

Look here for some sensors...

I will be trying the other type for a simpler version.

The MOTION Processing is temperamental, I have a threshold setup but it is "tweaked" almost every time I look at it as I often get "false" triggers but that said a timer stated when the "Angles" become a "problem" is very stable.......

#34906 Hi @GengusKahn,

Sorry buddy I read in more detail after and realized J.A did not have English as first language.
I like the "Digital Equipment Corporation Octal" lol :)

Googling I did see some experimentation with the digital processing, this is certainly an option I would need for my project. Need semi reliable gyro positions, I know it takes about 12 seconds or so to stabilize reading once powered.

What I am looking to achieve is some form of gesture control detection, so using the digital filter part I think will play an important role in the accuracy of this sensor. If my hand is in a certain position this will raise one state and when switching hand direction will generate a different state.

Any tweaks or experimental data would be great, I have 2 MPU6050 devices on order should be here this week allowing me weekend tinker time :)

Cheers again mate
