Can anyone recommend a cheep windows notebook to use for programming arduino/esp?

I have a Raspberrypi 2 and a macbook pro but finding the MBP having issues.

#36432 Some older windows laptops with Core i3 processors will accept a Core i7 Quad that can be had on ebay for something like $90.

My Dell 17R N7110 has had an i7 in it for quite a while now. My Sony Vaio F12 has for even longer.

There are refurb i3 laptops on sites like overstock for as little as $200

If you *need it to be small, i like my Asus 1215N, and for development purposes the non-Nvidia 1215B version would be just as good. This is a years old design though.

And as was stated, the truly low-power netbooks (1215 is Atom based) are not what you'd call fast. I'd recommend avoiding AMD's portable chips entirely.
