Thank you for such an awesome tool! I head up a middle school STEM club, and can't wait to get them playing with an ESP-01 module and ESP8266Basic. They're gonna love it.
What module are you going to use for your STEM group??

It provides a socket for the ESP module, a serial to usb converter chip, a 3.3V regulator, a micro usb to connect to your PC for flashing and interacting with the module.
You could also use any old cell phone charger (micro usb) to power the module after flashing it.
I just received 4 of these and they seem to work very well.
If using the "nodemcu" version then I think it has all that built in.
