There are lots of better displays the nokia 5110 and that uses less wires; IIRC the clones found on ebay will not mate good enough with the PCB and not work anymore.

i try 2aa battery with my esp-03. if i powered 2aa with my esp-03 cant access my router with my pc or phone myssid disappear.

Sorry to hear, my ESP-01 connects to my router nicely with 2 Eneloop AA's.

can you measure 2aa voltage when esp working? i am using 2 gp recyko+. 2.63v on idle. its droping 2.3v when esp working
