I have a ESP01 and a ESp12, I made aPCB for the ESP12 to connect it to a RFID RC522 and I can't flash it, so now I tried to flash the ESP01 and the same error occurs, so to keep things simple I will refer for now to the ESP01 flashing.

The errors I get are :

warning: espcomm_sync failed
error: espcomm_open failed

Please can someone tell me for sure if the programer selected is correct as I'm not sure if this is the problem or the wiring.

- Fri Dec 25, 2015 3:07 pm #37120 I checked it now and it was tied up to vcc through a resistor, moved it to GND an d it uploaded the blinck sketch, but very slow (9600).

Ii will try now with the ESP12 as for this one I already made a PCB with 2 buttons for RESET and FLASH, maybe I will find out what's wrong. At least now I know the programmer is ok and settings ok also.

- Fri Dec 25, 2015 3:30 pm #37121 The esp12 still doesn't flash, I will show you the .sch file , it was first time I tried to use Eagle, I just installed it a week ago, and made a few mistakes like

forgetting to connect the CH_PD pin to VCC (I did it after making the PCB, connected it through a 10k resistor to VCC) and also

Although I think I connected the RESET to GND, the brd file didn't had that pin connected to anything, so I had to manually place a wire to the reset button

Didn't knew how to setup eagle to not make the via's in the same place with through hole mounted parts like the header ... but this is another story

I'm still checking the wirings, any other help is appreciated.
