Great book, big value. I am always afraid for e-books because a lot of them are not finished and are on hol(li)d(ay). So I did do a free download at first, start browsing and after 20 seconds I did buy it. Easy to do, even when I am finished and pleased with it, I could buy it again. So thank you again. I am now at between 25-30%.
Anyway, just a minor question, at page 83, you wrote "Since the ESP8266 can have a variety of flash sizes, we examine each of these in turn.". Because I am band new with the ESP8266, those flash sizes, are those coming from an external chip or are they internal inside the esp8266 chip? If they are internal or even external how can we identify the size?
A minor comment, at page 93, you talk about "When testing HTTP protocols, connecting to the web site at http://httbin.org can be invaluable." I guess you want to change the site name to httpbin.org. De header text is oke.
From quick browsing I didn't see it, and maybe I did mis it, but is there a chapter or area where you explain (pin layout) the differences between the 01-12 versions? Or wil this added at al later point?
