- Tue Dec 02, 2014 1:06 pm #3844 As it was suggested earlier, I flashed another firmware and it started to respond to my AT commands properly. I didn't realize there was another "kind" of firmware too. I got my module off eBay, and it was advertised as "this something" that supports AT commands.

Anyway, I am just starting out on the ESP8266, but will most likely be back with more questions, and in time will also try to contribute with answers.

thanks to everyone trying to help! BTW: this seems to be a very active and helpful community, despite it's been around for a short while.
