and i cannot find any where in it the list of what all is connected to it..
or anything related to the "DHCP lease list"
could it be named something different ? as of this posting the clock has still not updated..

2 thoughts:

Go to Management System Status and note how many associated clients there are. Then turn the clock off and see if the number changes.
And
Connect the esp01 back up to your serial port and use your AT commands to get what the current connection status is. One of these should give you a clue.
AT+CIPSTA?
AT+ CIFSR=?
AT+ CIPSTATUS
