#39210 Hello,

I'm using an ESP02 to communicate with a vacuum cleaner.

The ESP is alimented with a 3,3v regulator and the communication with the cleaner uses serial interface and a level shifter 3,3v<->5V.

I plan to replace ESP02 with ESP12E in order to have more memory to be able to make OTA updates.
My question is : can the ESP12E be wired directly in place of the ESP02 without particuliar protection (capacitor, resistor ...) ?

I ask this question because, when looking at photos of the modules, the visible architecture of the ESP12E seems to be very simple in comparison with ESP02. In other words, is the ESP02 more protected than the ESP12E ?
