Does anyone know of a way to connect to an ESP in AP mode with your phone, but force the phone to still use cellular data for internet connectivity. I didn't know this was possible, but recently found that my Wifi enabled camera does exactly this.

- Fri Jan 22, 2016 7:48 pm #39460 I believe you would do this in the esp8266 by assigning an IP address but no default gateway. Without a gateway, the phone should be able to access addresses on the wifi network. Access to www.facebook.com or other addresses outside the local wifi will continue to go through the gateway assigned by your phone network.
