I use latest git and IDE 1.6.7 under Linux and I seem to be unable to replicate the issue, at least none of the browsers I tried crashes it. I do have a script tugging at the web-server once a second, and so far no problems.

Well, I do have github, will open an issue there. I didn't want to do this b/c I don't have any debug data yet, hence the question here first. But in reply to your points:
*EDIT: Desktop browsers do not crash the ESP, they just freeze the IP Stack, same as Android Mozilla. Android Stock browser however crashes is after a minute or so tops.
- IDE: 1.6.7
- Git Version: always latest commit by @igrr
- Platform: Win7x64 (shouldn't be important though)
- Android 4.4 (HTC One M7)
- Stockbrowser: don't know how to extract the version. It's based on webkit though.
- Mozilla Firefox: Latest Play Store version: Here, it takes a while longer, and then the ESP IP stack completely freezes. Terminating existing connections and not accepting any new ones. The device itself however keeps running indefinitely.
