- Wed Feb 03, 2016 11:04 pm #40388 The bin files in the format flash directory are intended to format the storage used for setting and basic programs. They are useful if you forget your passwords and want to get back to a good state.

I jut upgraded to the latest staging version of the arduino environment. Hopefully this will bring some stability back.

- Thu Feb 04, 2016 6:25 am #40399 I've just upgraded to 1.81. I used the format flash before the upgrade to get a clean install. I can confirm that even doing this I am unable to "open" the default program. Saving works fine and the program runs on restart, I just can't get it back into the editor.
