Noob alert!
I am able to upload the Blink example to my new 01 through the Arduino IDE without issue. However when I reset the chip, all I receive in the serial monitor is:
ets Jan 8 2013,rst cause:2, boot mode:(3,6)

For grins & giggles, I tried to flash Nodemcu with their programmer. With that I receive:
Note:Serial port connected.
Note:Begin find ESP8266.
Note:ESP8266 ACK success.
Note:ESP8266 ACK success.
Error:Set ESP8266 Address timeout.
I'm at a loss on where to go from here. Is my chip bricked or am I missing something stupid? My guess is the latter.
