- Sat May 21, 2016 1:13 pm #47775 i programmed my esp8266 ver 1 to control 2 relays via web browser and it works fine when i have it hooked up 2 the serial adapter but when i hook it up as a standalone it does not work the web browser say it cant be reached...i know it is connected to wifi because i can ping it thru the router but when i refresh the ip i get the error.

During normal operation, I recommend to disconnect the USB / RS232 converter. Connected converter with power supply off,
may cause instability of module ESP8266. I had the same problems. I recommend pull-up resistor at the RxD pin too,as shown in the diagram. http://esp8266.fancon.cz/barometer/esp8266-wifi-barometer-bmp085-bmp180.html
