- Wed Jun 15, 2016 8:22 pm #49254 I use a D1 mini as a thermostat with espBasic v2 - I actually mounted it inside an "eco plug" module.

I took out the old esp and replaced it with an D1 mini.

TO FLASH:
Remove power,
Press and hold the flash button , add power while button is still pressed, wait until it blinks
Then release the flash button.

Sometimes, you must press the reset after you release the flash button.

One note: on flashing the mini, Even though it has a flash button, I sometimes short Gpio0 to gnd.

I wonder why yours has one and mine does not. Anyway I will try grounding GPIO0, hopefully that will work
