#50817 I use arduino ide v 1.6.5. The newer versions of the arduino ide will not compile it. I don't fully understand why.

I for the 3.0 branch you can use the latest stable arduino package. Add the following link in the board manager url box in the arduino ide settings. Then install the latest stable build using the board manager.
http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/packa ... index.json

When you download the source code from git hub copy the contents of the libraries folder to the libraries directory for your arduino environment. Under windows this will be
C:\Users\Your user name\Documents\Arduino\libraries

Now change your arduino environment to target esp8266 node mcu if you have that board otherwise use generic esp8266 and select your flash size.

You should be able to build now.

#50826 @mmiscool thanks for the info!

@raintime no sir just in the information gathering portion of this goal.

Been working on network connectivity issues for the past couple of days and today now that they are almost all solved I have updated my phone application to reflect the changes in network connectivity also I have turned my two fans that circulate the air from regular pedestal fans into basic controlled fans now I operate those with my phone as well ;) been having a blast though was a fairly productive last couple of days lots of code and lots of trouble shooting as you have to not only code the basic portion of it but also the phone portion of it!

I'll bet with the information here though its enough to get going and figure this out quite possibly. I personally have no particular start date on this though there are other things I need to set my thinker too currently. Not to mention need to upgrade a few computers before the july 29th deadline for free upgrade to win10 otherwise they are no longer free upgrades ...
