As I wrote for my case c): it is doing more than your dht and running for over a month now w/o remarkable discharge of the LiIon battery.

You mentioned about deep sleep but this would not turn the volatge regulator off would it ?

#51337 no, but the low dropout low power regulator I'm using has a quiescent current of max.10µA, add 10µA for esp, max.15µA for flashrom and max. 1µA for BME280. Thats less than 40µA, less than the self discharge of most batteries ... >50000h standby on a 2000mAh battery (if the self discharge wouldn't be mauch higher...)
(ok, admittedly I left out pull-up's but you get the figures)

Your problem will not be the deep sleep, your enemy is the active phase!

P.S.: beware of the simple crap 3.3V regulators they throw at you in the internet, a decent (and non fake) ldo regulator costs ... but less than a decent mosfet + ATtiny !

Effectively, some regulators, such AMS1117 has a quiescent current of 10mA without any load.

I have an AMS1117 put it isn't step up, I am getting this one:

And I am getting this mosfet and the Attiny are 1.60 as well:
