#52310 I wasn't blaming the community I love the community, as I mentioned clearly the datasheet needs updating as it is working below 3v, I have a few more projects to try out with LifePo4 and also some step ups and an Attiny method but I am thinking of moving towards bluetooth and a gateway.

Sorry, but this is nonsense - I've said, that You blame the chip itself, not the community. And there is no reason to change datasheet - probably You didn't test ESP8266 in whole temperature range and fabrication limits - so Your "it is working below 3V" is useless :-( Try to move to Bluetooth, for example NRF51822 - it has wide voltage range from 1.8V to 3.6V and also Arduino support, but memory is IMHO very limited.
