- Sat Aug 06, 2016 8:06 pm #52354 After changing the settings back to 512k and 128 k spiffs the above no longer happens but the flash check script tells me these are incorrect settings for my 12f. I suggested the issue was related to this a while ago, what could be causing this to happen?

- Sat Aug 06, 2016 9:49 pm #52357 Well I tried working this out but now even more issues, previously I have been able to power all of my ESP01 projects with either a 5v adapter through a 3.3 AMS1117 or a 12v adapter through an AMS1117. With the 12f this is not the case, neither 12v through the AMS1117 or 5v through the AMS1117 works, the blue light turns on when powered up but nothing else happens, no data sent to the broker, no will message that the device is on, serial does not work (although 12v did today with serial). On both the 12v and the 5v the voltage coming out of the regulator is 3.23. Connecting both of these adapters up to previous devices ( 1 with only an ESP 01 and magnetic reed switch and one with an ESP 01, Atmeg328P-pu and PIR sensor) it all works as expected. The only way this now works is a 3,3v Foca v2 programmer that is giving out on average 2.88 - 2.90 v. Batteries suddenly stopped working after 7 hours of functioning on about 2.75v and after that no new batteries would power it despite them giving out the same voltage as the Foca near enough.

Added to the issues of the PIR sensor with the ESP-01 alone, the issues with ESP-01 alone with a relay, the ESP-01 alone with the NFC scanner, the issue with HTTP update, the issue with the flash size script telling me that I need to change to 4m in the IDE settings yet when doing this it crashes every single time and all the others I think it is safe to say my days with ESP are almost at an end. I am going to try with the ATTiny method and ESP-01 and also the SSR relay and if still issues I am left with no choice but to find something else which at this stage in the development is an absolute killer.

Oh have it running with the Foca and now it is starting to crash with that,

I am going back to easy stuff like machine learning and building artificial staff members Sorry for the rant but I am fuming how much time has been wasted this weekend, but thanks to those that tried to help.
