#54133 I keep bricking my ESP8285 when using my USB self-flashing. I want some way to make the the self-flasher, itself aware of the bits it needs to place into the 3rd and 4th bits, i.e. QIO, DOUT, etc. How can I do this on the chip to help prevent self-bricking?

I guess the big question is. Is there any way, in runtime to detect what is the preferred comms channel for the.

At least ESP8285. Anyone know if there's some device ID register for that?
