- Fri Sep 09, 2016 9:14 am #54747 Dear Mike: I just flashed an ESP-01 using Alpha 3.0 branch. I used a USB to TTL converter to flash the ESP. Everything worked fine, after flashing, the ESPXXX SSID appeared. Then, I disconnected the USB to TTL from the breadboard, the ESP remained powered by an external 3.3V power source. While the ESP remained powered on, I disconnected the GPIO0 from ground. Then, I connected my laptop to the ESPXXX wifi and opened the settings page from the ESP-01. I just tried to restart the device pushing the RESTART button. Here is the problem: after pushing RESTART, or disconnecting the ESP-01 and reconecting the power, the ESPXXXX access point does not appear anymore.

What is the problem, dear Mike?

I believe that after the first flash the reset won't work until the module is fully powered down.
